Eagles don’t see Jalen Hurts as a gadget QB

The surprising pick prompted many to wonder if the Eagles see Hurts as a Taysom Hill-type gadget player. After all, Carson Wentz landed a monster contract extension recently and is widely considered to be one of the NFL’s most promising young stars.

Responding to all that on Saturday morning, Mike Freeman of Bleacher Report made it clear that “the Eagles don’t see Jalen Hurts as a gadget QB.” He noted that Hurts might end up being used in that capacity early on, but finished by writing “they see him as a potential star QB who can step in for Wentz if/when he goes down.”

To Freeman’s point, Wentz already has a history of injuries in the NFL, so it makes sense

DriveInfo Gadget Review – A Free System Monitoring Tool

Microsoft discontinued all desktop gadgets for Windows Vista and Windows 7 due to serious vulnerabilities. We recommend following Microsoft’s guidance and NOT using any desktop gadgets.

The DriveInfo gadget is one of our favorite system utility gadgets for Windows. There are plenty of useful options including several background and icon choices, but overall it’s still an easy to use Windows gadget.

The DriveInfo gadget displays the remaining free space on your hard drive(s) in both percentage and GB format. There’s even a handy progress-type bar that graphically displays used disk space.

Pros & Cons

Aside from missing a small option, DriveInfo is a must-have system utility gadget:

What We Like

  • Isn’t confusing to use

  • Very simple to read

  • Contains several background and icon choices

  • Several options provide flexibility in drives displayed

  • Doubles as a drive shortcut list

  • Can display more than one drive at once

Create a Win7 Gadget | Experts Exchange

This article shows you how to create a simple “Gadget” — a sort of mini-application supported by Windows 7 and Vista.  Gadgets can be dropped anywhere on the desktop to provide instant information, or to act as a gateway to a website or a larger program.

What I like about gadgets is that they are really just small HTML pages.  That means:  No big-project development overhead.  If you have Notepad.exe and some knowledge about HTML, then you can write your own gadget.  Like HTAs, they run with with full local-program privileges, and can use ActiveX objects.  There is no limit to the creative things you can do with gadgets.Fig. 1-1: Win7 gadgets!
How to Create a Gadget (the short version):
Here’s all you need to do to create your own gadget:

1) Write an HTML page, say gadgetName.html

2) Write a short XML file, named (exactly) gadget.xml

3) Copy these
